Claims Online is Web platform for insurance clients and services management. Specific CRM system for managing data for insurance agents/agencies.
Among biggest announced problems of our Client were necessity to automate several manual workflows, centralize document operations, restrict access to specific workflow sections and modules according to several parameters: status of the claim, responsible person, type of claim and responsible section of the company( for supervising purpose).
Except transferring the ‘map’ of claiming processes online our goal was to choose reliable, fast and scalable technical platform to build the tool with. Another goal was to make insurance system secure enough for managing and storing valuable data( documents, customers data).
Several user roles and respective restrictions in functionality.
Importing/exporting documents according to several schemes for different time periods and filtering options.
Filtering within the system needed data for managing claims for different insurances and clients.
Possibility to manage customers.
Possibility to manage insurances and recovery claims according to appropriate dates and by accidents statuses.
As a solution a web platform with intuitive dashboard was suggested. For the dashboard we chose clean and easy in implementation UI template. One of the most reliable and popular PHP frameworks Laravel was responsible for handling the backend logic of the insurance management system.
The platform also allowed to ensure the transfer period: we implemented a mechanism of importing old type files. Wide range of filtering provided the end user with the convenient user interface which in it turn reduced not only onboarding time for the new system but also improved the day-to-day performance of managers.
Important to notice that agile approach in combination with well defined business processes allowed to deliver the system quite fast with no work time wasting.
